Children’s privacy notice
For parents and guardians. Written in plain language. Effective date: 2026-10-29.
Template prepared for Juvenstar Studios — have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
Lumijayon is a calm cave game that children can play. This page explains, for parents, what the game does and does not do with your child’s information. It supplements our full privacy policy, and covers COPPA (United States), GDPR-K (EU, Article 8) and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code.
The short version
- No account, email, password, phone number or real name.
- No chat, no friends lists, no public profiles, no way for strangers to contact your child.
- We never ask for location, photos, contacts or the microphone.
- Ads are optional, and for under-13s they are non-personalized and treated as child-directed.
- You can delete everything at any time.
What the game asks your child for
- A nickname. Please encourage a made-up name, not a real name. Nicknames only appear to people on the same local Wi-Fi in a Campfire game, and are never published online.
- An age band (under 13, 13 to 15, 16 and over), chosen neutrally without a hint about the “right” answer.
- A random device ID generated by the game, used to keep a coin balance.
The game also records coin events (such as completing a depth), the app version and the platform. See the table in the privacy policy.
Ads
Rewarded video ads are shown only if your child taps to watch one. They are never needed to progress. For players in the under-13 band we turn on child-directed treatment and non-personalized ads, and we do not use the advertising ID. For the 13 to 15 band we use non-personalized ads with the under-age-of-consent setting. Only ad networks certified for Families-designated apps may serve ads. Read the ads and rewards policy.
Parental consent and your choices
Because the game collects no contact details and uses no personalized advertising or tracking for children, it does not need to take any consent step that involves collecting a parent’s details. If we ever add features that require parental consent we will ask before enabling them, and we will use methods that comply with COPPA and GDPR-K.
You can at any time:
- review the data we hold, using your child’s Device ID from Settings;
- delete it using Settings > Delete my data or the web instructions;
- refuse further collection by uninstalling the game or not letting your child go online;
- play entirely offline, since nothing is required to be sent.
Charity coins
Children can redeem coins into a charity pool. For players in the under-13 and 13 to 15 bands, nothing is ever paid out: cash-out is never shown to them and we never collect PayPal or other payment details from them. A separate, optional cash-out program exists only for adults 18 and over (see the terms).
Contact
Questions or requests: [email protected]. Please include the Device ID from Settings so we can find the right data. We will respond within one month, and we never share your child’s data in the course of replying.
